The primary responsibility for the implementation of the principles set out in the Code of Practice under the CDM Regulations has gradually transferred from the ‘CDM Co-ordinator’ to the ‘Designer’
With qualified and registered CDM Co-ordinator’s within the practice we have been deliberate in developing our knowledge base and experience of the key issues within the Regulations.
Combining this with our role as designers ensures that we have been proactive in preparing the designer risk assessments and using this review to design out risks were possible, or reducing the risks in accordance with recognised good practice.
In addition to contributing to the reduction of injury, and death, on the construction site this has considerable benefits to the client during the subsequent maintenance periods over the life of the building.
