Master planning

Michael Whitley Architects have been retained by a number of clients over the years to develop the concept master plan prior to commissioning the scheme designs for the individual components.

We have demonstrated recognised and particular skills in understanding early formulations of the client’s intentions and accurately translating these into clear concepts.

Master planning requires the ability to hold several, and sometime disparate, agendas in concept and merge them into a coherent whole. This requires a working understanding of all of the design and engineering disciplines and the coordinating skills of a lead consultant to bring together the various client, funding, statutory and professional teams to ensure cohesion of the final scheme.
